REP MEMBER REMANDED FOR CERTIFICATE FORGERY

Hon. Nse Bassey Ekpenyong, representing Oron Federal Constituency of Akwa-Ibom State has been caught up in the messy web of certificate forgery.

He was dragged to the Federal high court in Akwa-Ibom, presided over by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, by the EFCC over an alleged forgery of an Abia State Polytechnic Ordinary National Diploma Certificate in Business Administration (praise the Lord, he is patriotic enough to have got his own in Nigeria, others would have preferred Harvard)

The case was adjourned till April after he pleaded "not guilty". The judge however remanded him in prison custody pending the completion of the requirements of the bail application his counsel had filed.
