TROUBLE BREEDS IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OVER XENOPHOBIC TRIP

It is no longer news that, South Africa has been bedeviled and clogged by the unwholesome trend of hatred and fear of foreigners, known as xenophobia. This has effected and as well, marred the lives of many African nationals, and worst so, are Nigerians whose lives and belongings have perpetually been under overt attacks since the birth of this show-of-shame.

Consequently, Nigerian government, after series of failed bilateral engagements to nip this ugly trend in the bud, decides to send a delegation to South Africa, to see to the possible end to this cankerworm that is fast ravaging Africa. The onus falls therefore, on the legislative arm of the government whose oversight responsibility incorporates issues such as this.

The news therefore is, that the National Assembly is in serious sturm-und-drang and disorder, not for moving a motion to engage South Africa in a war, for killing its nationals and for destroying their properties, which i think can be a good thing, but for unceremoniously engaging in a mortal combat, which sources say, is not unconnected to the traveler's allowance of 5,000dollars.

Trouble started when the two chambers, which comprises the Senate and the House of Representatives, disagreed vehemently on the quota each chamber should put forward.
Sources claim that, the 5,000dollars allowance is responsible for this misplace of priority, as each chamber had wanted a larger chunk of its members to make up the delegation and hence, the quagmire.

This has gone to reiterate the fact that, the primary responsibility of our leaders has been self-glorifying. But now that two elephants are fighting, what will be the fate of the grass?  When a community is in crisis, Chief(s) benefit, so goes a maxim
