HELP! OUR VICE PRESIDENT HAS JOINED BAD GANG

It's no longer news that, the present APC led government swims in the oceans of fabrications and fairytales to navigate through the contours of its affairs. This is not unconnected to the ways, the image makers of the government play out their roles.

For instance, the information minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, while reacting to questions that border on the health status of the President, while on a medical leave in the UK said thus, "I do not have any reason to publish a bulletin on the health status of Mr President, because there is no need to do so. Mr President is hale, hearty and is chilling in London..."

Weeks later, after the return of Mr President, the same minister of information told Nigerians that, "publishing the amount of money spent on the treatment of Mr President abroad will have an implication on the security situation in the country". He made the aforementioned premise on the hills of Mr President telling Nigerians, upon returning from the UK that "he can't ever recall being so sick in the past..." So, monies were spent on a man, the information minister claimed was hale, hearty and chilling.

On the other hand, the vice President, Prof Yemi Osibanjo, while on his sojourn as the acting President of Nigeria, restored a flicker of hope on the ability of the APC led government to provide to Nigerians, the myraids of promises that earned them entrance into Aso Rock.

You will recall that, not longer than he assumed office as the acting President, he embarked on an unprecedented actions, and visits to all the nooks and crannies of the country. This included the dreaded Niger-Delta region. A feat that eluded  "Oga at the top", just like the English Premier League trouph has eluded Liverpool for over 20years.

These visits and subsequent dialogues with the aggrieved individuals culminated in the decline, the rate of destructions on public properties. And as a result, there was an increase in the production of crude oil (Nigeria's sole source of income). This also brought about assorted positive increase in other facets of governance (do not forget that, there was also a relatively cease-fire on the part of the helmsmen menace and Boko Haram) Nigerians bombarded him, not with bombs like Boko Haram, but with encomiums, as many were of the opinion that, there may be a light at the end of the tunnel afterall.

Nevertheless, one can confidently say, considering the spate of recent events in the country, that Mr Vice President's hitherto exploits were a fluke. This is not unconnected to the fact that, the body language, and as well as, the recent pronouncements on governmental and public issues by Mr Vice President, run contrary to his thereafter feats.

For instance, Mr Vice President said on Tuesday that the Federal Government is negotiating with Boko Haram on the release of the Chibok girls in their custody. His statement comes against the backdrop of the public outcry by the parents of the kidnapped girls that, the Federal Government is treating the case of the kidnapped girls with kid gloves. Also, the United Nations Childrens' Fund UNICEF, said that, a total number of 117 children, mainly girls have been used by the terrorist sect to carry out suicide bomb attacks in public places in Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon etc since 2014.

The Vice President seems to have joined a 'bad gang' of fabricators, when he followed in the footsteps of the likes of Lai Mohammed in telling Nigerians what they want to hear, instead of factuality. He claims that, the reason why there has been a lot of clogs in the journey to the release of the girls is because of the factions in the Boko Haram camp.(apparently, he is begging them to put their house in order, so as to resume negotiations. Well-done Sir, in Falz's voice)

Furthermore, Prof Yemi Osibanjo, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria said on Wednesday that, the Federal Government does not need the confirmation of the Senate
